EFFECTS OF VIDEOS AND DIGITAL FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT APPLICATIONS (KAHOOT AND QUIZLET) IN ADDRESSING THE TOPIC OF "GREENHOUSE EFFECT
Abstract
The role of well-trained teachers is crucial in raising conscious individuals who prioritize ecological balance for a sustainable future. Cultivating sensitive and knowledgeable individuals through environmental education is also emphasized in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This study was conducted using action research with 41 students enrolled in the primary school teacher training program who were enrolled in an environmental education course. The study revealed that most candidate teachers possessed incomplete and incorrect information prior to the implementation process. Despite the significant inclusion of environmental topics in current curricula and digital media, the students' lack of accurate and inaccurate information necessitates the development of curricula and teaching practices based on best practices. This study is expected to provide insights into content creators and instructors of courses involving environmental topics and to contribute to literature in this field.
